Finance Department
The Finance Department is comprised of the Accounting, Call Center, Customer Service, Meter Reading and Utility Billing functions of the city. The Finance Department oversees all revenues and expenditures of the city as well as the annual budget, setting the millage rate and annual audit.

All requests for payment through the City’s Accounts Payable department should be Net 30.
The City of Monroe’s Finance Department has received the Government Finance Officers Association award for Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, Distinguished Budget Presentation award, and Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for many years & strive to continue to receive each award.
GFOA Triple Crown Winners achievement recognizes governments who have received GFOA's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and the Distinguished Budget Preparation Award. The City of Monroe Finance Department is a proud recipient of this award.
