Candlelight Shopping

There is nothing like Christmas in Monroe!  Join us for Candlelight Shopping from 5:00 to 8:00 pm each Thursday in November and December.    Cozy up by our giant fire pit on Court Street to roast marshmallows.  Enjoy dinner, drinks or dessert at one of our amazing restaurants before or after shopping.  You're sure to find gifts for everyone on your list at our downtown businesses.  Different activities will be planned each week so check back often or follow our social media for details!  

*New this year* Pick up your shopping passport for bonus Shop Small Shopping Days at the Visitors Center (227 S Broad Street) for a chance to win up to $200 in Downtown Dollars.  Shopping passports can be used 11/2, 11/9, 11/16 (during candlelight shopping) and 11/20-25th.  All cards must be turned in by November 25th.  Cards completed before can be returned to the visitors center. 

November 9th:  Marshmallow roasting on Court Street, live music.  Shopping passport bonus night. 

November 16th:  Marshmallow roasting on Court Street.  Shopping passport bonus night.  Bikes, Trikes and Magical Lights parade in Childers Park.  Opening of the 12 Days of Christmas Light Display.  Lights will be on every evening through December 30th.

November 30th:  Marshmallow roasting on Court Street.  Carriage Rides:  reservations required. SOLD OUT 

 $10 per person.  Reservations will open online and will be first come first served.  Rides will be in 10 minute increments from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.  You will be assigned a time.  You must arrive 15 minutes prior to your ride time.  If you miss your time, you forfeit your ride.  Times cannot be rescheduled and there are no refunds. There are TWO types of carriages, traditional and Cinderella style.  Please select the type and time.  *NOTE* to reserve the entire carriage, you have to reserve all slots, otherwise, another family may ride with you.
